During the committee sessions, delegates will present the political positions of the country they are representing, debating with colleagues and identifying one or more common stances. These stances are then used as a foundation as delegates begin to write a working paper which then becomes, over various sessions, a draft resolution and finally, an actual resolution should it be approved by a majority of the member states within the community. The committee sessions do not have a predefined structure as they alternate between speeches by individual states, moderated and unmoderated caucuses, and procedural motions. Participants are guided during procedural moments by the Chair and Director of the committee, ensuring orderly and professional procedural conduct.

The expert speakers programmes are sessions which involve ambassadors, diplomats, and UN officers who will explore the agenda topics of the committee, bringing their practical experience as international officials and the position of the country they represent. These sessions serve as inspiration for the work the delegates are carrying and their future aspirations. Furthermore, it is an incredible opportunity to interact and network with such prestigious guests.
